Friends are gems rare to find
Once you find one, treasure the bond
Share the joys, they are there to stand
In sorrows, they are shoulders one can cry on.

Respect and reverence strengthen the ties
Be true to friendship no matter what the prize
In failures, loyalty is not left behind
In difference forgiveness unites.

Integrity means honesty developed in a perfect state
Follow counsel for enlightenment and peace of mind
Disprove iniquity that misleads a friends mind
Bestow guidance, time and open arms.

Enduring relationships is brought about
By opening and sincerity of heart
Always say the truth and you will find
That friendship is readily at hand

Nurture friendship with good deeds and love
Speak softly and deem not be harsh
Little thought of appreciation for things well done
And gratitude be extended greatly to a friend’s helping hand

Distance nor time doesn’t separate
A friendship which is tightly engaged
Though far or near the thought is there
Because friendship endures no matter what’s the way

Sacrifice is the highest form of love
Love, respect, understanding all in one
Follow God’s path for it is the way
To a never ending friendship ‘till the end of day.
